Today's going to be a good day. I feel it.
How not to lose
Fix your metabolic health. Use your free will to veto out the things you know you shouldn't do.
You fix your metabolic health, it becomes 1000x easier to do the stuff you know you need to do. Hormones go crazy. Then you don't have to use any willpower to veto out bad decisions since only good decisions come to mind due to hormonal health.
It literally boils down to health. That's it. Consciousness the symptom; the faster you accept the effect hormones have on your conscious mind the faster you'll succeed in digging yourself out of the hole of having to fight against yourself.
What every young human being should be capable of
A young human should be able to run ten miles straight. Running is the ultimate expression of humanity as endurance hunters.
A young human should be able to consistently get minimum eight hours of sleep every night at the same time.
A young human should be able to only eat whole, healthy foods with no refined sugars are ultra-processed grains.
Once this algorithm is down pat, I'd like to see if there are still mental health issues. If there are, medication probably could be used and/or life stressors need to be removed (e.g. toxic relationships.)
Why do we stick to conscious thoughts?
Probably because we are biased towards it and learn it young. That we are the thoughts that come to mind.
Eckhart Tolle had it right. We are not the thoughts. We simply are the observer. Rather, we simply are.
