I went on a date

I went on a date today. I said hello, and we awkwardly danced around each other. I reached in for a hug but she offered a handshake. I joked with her that I was thinking about what to do, and simply offered to go inside and grab tea.

We talked for a while, and I suggested to go for a walk. It was really cold, so we did a few blocks and went back into the tea shop.

I won't detail what we discussed here, but I think I'm falling for her. I think it's a bit too soon and I am trying to stave off my feelings, but she seems wonderful. She grew up here, and her family is from there. She does this and that in her free time, and she loves the awkward sennse of humor I offer.

I tell myself though that I want to make sure I don't catch feelings. I don't know if she shares the same feelings, but she's regardless in my mind. I tell myself to wait to see the red flags or the downsides, but I am willing to see.

If she doesn't like me, so be it! I wish her the best, and perhaps she would like someone more dependable and less lassaiz-faire than me!
