Good Conversation
February 12th, 2023
Y'know, when I was young teenager I'd look up "how to have a conversation" on Google and Reddit. I'd get interesting answers on Reddit posts and found this neat online course by Dr. Daniel Wendler called Improve Your Social Skills.
I was shy back then. And couldn't hold a conversation. Only gave one word responses to my peers who'd be interested in me. Dr. Daniel Wendler's course helped me a lot with that and taught me what I was doing right or wrong.
When I realized my abnormality, I went to the internet to help answer it. I had come to the conclusion that maybe I had some undiagnosed form of Aspergers as dear Dr. Daniel Wendler did.
But maybe the secret to good conversation is to stop thinking about it so much and just do it. I look at all the Presidents and their demeanour and they all effortlessly communicate.
Not to think about stuttering or asking the right questions. Balancing the listen to speak ratio. None of that artificial junk. Just to do it and pay attention.
P.S. I don't have Asperger's syndrome.
