Don't do drugs. Especially if you have history of trauma or mental illness. Permanent neurocognitive damage is not "cool."
Don't do alcohol. Same as drugs. Exercise. You need to take care of your body. Think of steady-state cardio as a part of body hygiene (it does make you smell better, by the way.)
Eat clean. Life is stressful enough, don't stress your body more by eating dirty.
We live post 20th century. The biggest problems of our age are in our heads. Our quality of life surpasses kings of yore.
Stress and anxiety are the problems of our century. Structure your activities around relieving them for yourself and for other people.
The only thing that matters is other people. But you're naturally self-absorbed, sorry. Even though you'll rationalize to a proper conclusion, your feelings will remain self-absorbed. Try your best to care for others.
Volunteer. It's stress-relieving. And, it connects you to people. Do it often.
